The Link Building Cookbook

Welcome to the Link Building Cookbook.

What is Link Building?

Link building is the process of getting websites to link to your homepage, or one of your website’s internal pages. An example link would be me telling you that this blog is written by Collin LaHay. The link to my blog’s homepage with the text “collin lahay” tells Google that this site is about Collin LaHay, and that this blog deserves to rank for a Google search of “collin lahay.” The more websites that you can get to link to yours, the higher you will rank in the search engine for that term, and the higher your Google Pagerank will be. Not only will you increase your websites rank for the term that the other sites link to yours with, but you will rank for a lot of other keywords once your pagerank increases.

In simple terms, the more websites that link to yours the more search engine visitors you will receive.

What is the Link Building Cookbook?

The Link Building Cookbook is a guide for webmasters to quickly find websites that they can get to link to their websites. In a nutshell, this guide provides hundreds of places to get to link to you so that you can get more search engine traffic in a lot less time than building links the standard way.

The Link Building Cookbook is updated very frequently, and features thousands of places where normal webmasters would not have thought they could build links to their website. This guide helps you find “the diamonds in the rough,” or in other terms, the best places to build links without paying heavy amounts of money.

Disclaimer

Before you begin your link building campaign, I want everyone to know that some of these techniques may be considered blackhat, greyhat, or some even border line unethical. Due to the nature of this frequently updated guide and the fact that these sites are normally used for purposes other than link building, I make no guarantee that these links will be permanent or that any of the sites mentioned in this guide are still online. For example, if you are reading a 4-6 month old post about a site that you can build links off of, the site may have shutdown since then but for the sake of this guide, I will leave all the previous posts mentioned.

I personally believe that since many people are using these secret underground techniques for maximizing their profits, I will show the rest of the world them freely on my blog. Feel free to copy any segment of the Link Building Cookbook onto your own blog, so long as proper credit is given.

April 6th Update

I have sorted the list by which links provide “nofollow” links, and which links are “dofollow” links. The dofollow links are to be used for raising your ranks in the search engines, as well as bringing your website new visitors. The “nofollow” link section is to be used only for getting new visitors to your websites and for branding purposes.

@Mert: Thanks for the comment, but your facts aren’t entirely true relating to this collection of techniques. Google still provides a decent amount of linking authority to external links even if they are unrelated. This is due to the ever increasingly popular social networks, Google always needs to adapt. With so many link techniques from this page, I guarantee it will only benefit your site. With the link building cookbook, I do most of the work for you, and all that is required is adding your individual link. The reason the “unrelated” linking articles have been going around is because members of popular forums spend hours building “unrelated” links, when a single authority related link would help more. My goals for this post are different… I save you the time of finding way more links than anyone ever requires, because every link helps.

Wow! A veritable one stop shop for all you’re link campaign questions. Although I already employ many of these techniques some new ones I found quite interesting. As for the blackhat/greyhat disclaimer; this could lead to another article and open another can of worms! It’s just so difficult to distinguish these days. I think for the commenting links (such as edu forums or this page for that matter) if you take a small amount of time to write something productive you are doing your part to avoid the blackhat tag. Great article, bookmarked!
