It is the first of the month, which means I will post my income earnings from my blog for last month. I have since changed the main topic of my blog to make money blogging, so I choose to publicly disclose all of my income totals every month so that after my blog is at least a year old we can all look back to see the growth. I will begin with my blog statistics and then move into my January blog earnings.
January 2008 Blog Statistics
*Parentheses represent last months numbers*
- Google Pagerank: 4 (0)
- Alexa Rank: 58,481 (110,051)
- Technorati Rank: 20,986 (61,585)
- Technorati Authority: 252 (106)
- Total Visitors: 85,152 (7,392)
- Total Pageviews: 105,208 (16,908)
- RSS Subscribers: 325 (119)
- Reached the 100+ posts and 1000+ comments milestones.
In conclusion, all of my stats had a mammoth improvement, mainly due to my Digg post getting 5650+ diggs. My RSS subscribers have also increased as lots of people are telling their friends about my blog and the techniques I give away for free. In my opinion, a recommendation or a lead is worth far more than a quick buck, so I plan to continue effectively promoting my RSS and to keep writing great posts.
January 2008 Blog Earnings
*Parentheses represent last months numbers*
- Adsense: $109.03 (Last Month: $12.08)
- Private Ad Sales: $40 (Last Month: $75)
- WordHugger/rssHugger clients: $660
- WordHugger/rssHugger acquired: $12,775.98
Total January Earnings - $13585.01
Total Earnings Per Day - $438.22
In conclusion, January was an amazing month for my ventures. My two largest sites earned a nice amount of money and then were acquired, paying off a large portion of my college tuition. After making more than $30,000 since January 07, I have a good chunk of my tuition paid for. If I play my cards right, I might have all of college paid for by the time the first semester of college starts. This would leave me with four years to expand my blog while going to college.
Now that my largest ventures have been acquired, I expect my February earnings to not be as high. Even with that in mind, I will be promoting my blog vigorously and I also have an incredibly large website in development. I am getting extremely anxious waiting for my programmer to finish coding so that I can let all of you readers join the beta, but for now I am required to keep the details quiet. My blog is about teaching you how to make more money blogging, and I can say that my new site in development will help everyone earn more money and get more traffic. Stay tuned!

Hi Colin - interesting results. What was the last one? The name word hugger vaguely rings a bell. Is this a product you developed and sold?
Am I getting this right - you are saving all this for college beforehand instead of getting into a heap of debt?
