Miscellaneous Link Building 2

Posted in Link Building> SEO

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or get your blog updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

This is part two of the Miscellaneous Link Building post. These two posts are quick posts, and their only purpose is to show you websites where you can build links to increase your blog’s rank in the search engine. Since most of these methods are quick and simple, I have thrown them into one (two) quick posts.

http://kbcafe.com
Former PR6 site (Got penalized, now its PR3). It features 6 blogs that are all PR3-6 and are very aged. It is run on a custom blogging software (not Wordpress), and so the comments are auto approved and are dofollow. Back when I ran myspace proxies, I use to drop my myspace proxy site links all over the meta-myspace mini-blog and Google saw it as powerful related backlinks. The effect may have been lowered after it got penalized, but hundreds of related links can still send a heap of search engine traffic.

If you have any hacker or tech related news, you can submit it here. If it gets approved by the editors, you are looking at a lot of traffic as well as an authority PR6 backlink. (Although I haven’t had anything approved when I tried).

If you have a lot of freetime, here is some general .edu/.gov links. [A lot will be nofollow]

Search these strings on Google:
site:.edu [YOUR KEYWORD HERE] blog
site:.edu “post a comment” -”you must be logged in” -”comments closed”
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments

site:.gov [YOUR KEYWORD HERE] blog
site:.gov “post a comment” -”you must be logged in” -”comments closed”
site:.gov inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments

site:.mil [YOUR KEYWORD HERE] blog
site:.mil “post a comment” -”you must be logged in” -”comments closed”
site:.mil inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments

Colin,

Cheers for the info on these two sites, and the search strings that we can pop into google to find others.
