Sitehoppin sends free traffic

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or get your blog updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

A good friend of mine named Max has recently started his new online startup company. The name of the site is called SiteHoppin, and it is much like Stumbleupon.com except instead of using a toolbar to vote on sites, you stumble sites inside the browser. The site dubs itself as “a browser in a browser.”

The site is run on the MediaWiki script and there is so many other variables that I dare not start to explain here. While I do recommend you go give it a test run, the reason for this post is that Sitehoppin sends free traffic forever for only a one time submission. Head on over to the site, register, add your site, vote it 5.0/5.0, and enjoy the free traffic. In the last 29 days, I have received 62 visits, and over 90% of them were first-time visitors to my blog. That sounds like quality free traffic to me!

Ready to sign up for a little bit of extra free traffic? Then go have your first online bar hop, courtesy of Max.

I just tried it out, and couldn’t figure out how to submit my site. Maybe I’m too dense or impatient.

I have been using it for a while. It does bring stable traffic but very little of it.

Free traffic is good traffic in my mind. I received 64 visitors in 29 days, so I would say 2-3 new potential readers per day is worth 10 minutes of signing up. =)

I submitted my site a while ago and am getting about 2-5 visitors per day. It’s a nice way of getting some more readers. :)

Took a while to find where to submit, though. That should be made clearer.

I’ve used it for a while now, and it doesn’t bring me much traffic but seems like a good model to grow.

Hey, I get some traffic from SiteHoppin too when I checked my statistic. Ironically though, I have never submitted my site there. :)

The site has been plagued with stability issues. Every other time I go there, I get 500 Internal Server Errors. I hope they can figure this out for the sake of their users.
