Bought an iPhone

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or get your blog updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

I had been using the same phone for three years and knew it was time for an upgrade. I bought the apple iphone and have to say that I absolutely love it. I can setup all of my emails on it, browse the web, youtube it up, check the status of my websites (mediatemple has an iPhone compatible section), and even login to wordpress. If you are planning on getting a new phone soon, I recommend testing out an iPhone at your local Mac shop.

Did I mention that I wrote this entire blog post from my phone? :-)

Do any of you use an iPhone or other browser compatible phones?

Congrats on the new phone! I LOVE getting new gadgets to play with. :)

I myself have a new Blackjack 2. And yup. It is browser compatible. I get a HUGE bill though, if I surf too much..So I gotta be careful.

Ah bummer. For $20/m, I get unlimited internet/data. The only downside to this plan is it only comes with 200 texts/instant messages per month, but I found a loophole.

Since the web is unlimited, I can browse to Meebo.com and login to my instant messengers through there for free and have unlimited amounts of sending. =)

That is AWESOME! I think AT&T is like 60 bucks a month. Gonna check into it though. I am a textaholic - I love it! And I also found a loophole for texting my friend in Australia - Normally, it would cost me 25 cents a TEXT - but I text him via his yahoo IM and it just counts as a regular text, which for me - is unlimited. ;)

Talking about text messaging, I get 1000 text messages for jus Rs. 99, equivalent to USD 2.5.
I wish to buy an iPhone as soon as my web ventures start developing to great heights.

Yes, I’ve had an iPhone since the first day they were released and I still love it. It has become an integral part of my life now and I wouldn’t be the same without it. I have written several blog posts, including one entitled A Day with the iPhone that shows the many ways I use my iPhone everyday. Check the index at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com for that and other iPhone related posts.

The last hurtle I needed to overcome was to find a good task list, since the notes feature on the phone is a little weak. I recently found on online application that I can use at work, at home and on my iPhone, to record and review my task list, along with lots more features. I’ve written about that too at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com

Good luck with you new iPhone! John

Cool, I checked one out a while ago but was a bit too broke to justify the expense.

Man, lucky you! It looks really nice - perhaps I’ll get one sooner or later. But I probably won’t. =/
