This is a quick follow post about Sitehoppin, which I have previously written about.

SiteHoppin is, in short, a browser-in-a-browser which lets you visit websites based on tags and categories. You can submit your site, tag it, and rate it a five - afterwards, people that use SiteHoppin will sometimes be directed towards your site. I’ve consistently been receiving 2-3 visits per day since adding my site.

While I do realize that a lot of you may have already heard of Squidoo, I still wanted to make a post about it to let the users who haven’t heard about it get a chance at using it, as well as being able to use this post as a reference in future link building posts.

Squidoo is a huge community powered site that allows users to write about topics they are “experts” in. In return for writing these articles (they call them lens’), Squidoo shares half of the advertising revenue with you and also gives you anchor text backlinks inside your articles.

There is a new software being sold around that offers to have 200 bots stumble your link in return for some cash. To acquire new clients, they offer “3 free stumbles” out to test their software. Well, with a little knowledge of how Google works, we can easily cheat the system.

There are currently about 3-4 sites that run this software, and all of them offer the “3 freebie stumbles.” With a simple google query, you can search the entire web for all the sites currently running the Stumblematic script and then find the free stumbles pages to build up a one time burst of traffic in return for 30 seconds of your time.

Everyone is familiar with search engine optimization (SEO), but I have just stumbled across some people who (accidentally) have optimized their videos to be heavily promoted. Have you ever considered making an advertisement/commercial video and submitting it to the video sites? Sure, everyone has. The problem is getting people to see it.

Well, have you considered registering a username for a typo of the site you are submitting to? Just looking at popular typos of youtube (such as youtub). — People’s videos have received literally MILLIONS of views. The blog is extremely popular and comments inside the blog posts receive a backlink that is followed by the search engines. A good friend of mine named Max has recently started his new online startup company. The name of the site is called SiteHoppin, and it is much like Stumbleupon.com except instead of using a toolbar to vote on sites, you stumble sites inside the browser. The site dubs itself as “a browser in a browser.”
