If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or get your blog updates by email. Thanks for visiting!
If you are like me, you have the hardest times finding great names for your new blog or startup. It seems like every single good .com domain name has already been registered and is not for sale. The reason is because there are tons of companies who register literally millions of domain names and stick Google advertisements all over them, hoping people will accidentally visit them. For every accidental type-in visitor that clicks an ad, it helps pay for the domain name. Domain Tasting is a concept that allows people to register a domain for 5 days, and if they do not see any traffic or clicks, they can return the domain and get their full money back. So on a bulk scale, people register 1,000,000 domains and only 10,000 make $1/day. They return the rest and now they have 10,000 domains earning them ~$300,000/m. This also would get rid of nearly all of the risk because they could sell back the domains they didn’t want after 5 days of “tasting” them.

Back when I wrote the post on protecting yourself from content theft, I made a little itsy bitsy typo. I added an extra “>” to the code which ultimately broke my RSS feed. Thanks to an email I received I have fixed the problem. This inspired me to write a post making sure you validate your RSS feed every once in awhile.
Go to FeedValidator.org and make sure your RSS feed / feedburner link are validated properly, or you may be losing visitors. I had no idea my RSS was broken because it was still displaying properly for about 40% of the people, but I was losing 60% of my subscribers. By simply removing one little “>” I doubled my RSS traffic.

Top 10 lists can always be seen on Digg’s homepage, and to give you an example — here are ten things that will help this post become popular on Digg.
10. Digg users will enjoy this list.
This list will get a lot of Diggs because it is unique and creative. It also brings the word out to all of the crappy hosts/websites/spammers that try to game the site. Digg users are not mindless zombies, and only enjoy quality content. They reward the best of the best by a simple click on the Digg button.

Every day I get a handful of people who ask me who I have that designs, codes, and builds my sites before I begin marketing them. I decided that I get asked so often that I will just write a blog post and forward all of the inquiries to this post. All of the parties listed below are honest recommendations, and I do not earn an affiliate sale for referring you to them. I respect their skills and believe they deserve an honest review.

I have a lot of big blogging plans for the 2008 year. I am currently in the process of a few upgrades as well as having a new blog theme being designed to allow for easier reading and for better search engine optimization.
Today I was deciding what my end-game blogging goals were. My original thought was to have a focus on increasing website traffic for webmasters, but I am thinking about moving more and more towards just blogging. I wanted to know my readers opinions by finding out exactly who all of my readers are.

While reading around a few blogs, I came across a blogger/designer from the United Kingdom. His name is David Airey and he blog(ed) over at DavidAirey.com. His Gmail account was hacked and the hacker took siege over the ownership of his domain and is asking for $250 to get his name back.
David Airey doesn’t want to pay the criminal, so he moved his entire blog over to a backup domain (DavidAirey.co.uk), but has lost all of his search engine results in the process.

I just wanted to wish all of my readers a happy [insert a holiday that you celebrate here]. It does not matter whether you are celebrating Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Kwanzaa, or something I have never even heard of, I hope you have a good time! If you blog every day like myself, you might want to take a day off, as now would be the perfect time to do it. Go have a blast! The internet, your blogs, your websites, and even your endless amounts of emails will still be here when you get back!
