While being the head of viral marketing over at Datepad, I like to provide creative ways to build up the community and get the viral aspect in motion. I have had a few very successful contests on this blog, and I thought starting Datepad off with one would be a great way to launch the new corporate blog. If by offering a completely free online dating service social network with a community aspect and a $5000 DreamDate vacation wasn’t enough, we are now offering bloggers a chance to win a free 16GB iPod Touch just for mentioning the contest in a blog post.

The rules are really simple and should cater to every blogger out there. They are: Make a blog post and mention Datepad and what they do, link to the blog contest page, and have it be at least 150 words (EASY).

After sponsoring two contests earlier which yielded successful results, I am ready to run my own. Rather than running the occasional type of blog contest, I wanted to change things up a bit. I want to have a lot of winners rather than just one. I have developed a way to promote my blog while giving away money every week.

The Contest - Enter for a chance to win $25 and a link every week.

Every week I will announce one winner who I will send $25 via Paypal. The weekly winner contest will run forever, allowing many people to be able to win a $25 prize. Every week I will also give a link to the winners blog, and that winner will also be eligible to receive any additional prizes that were donated that week. For those people who are kind enough to donate cash/prizes, I will give you a free plug about your site, blog, or product.

How do I enter for a chance to win $25+ every week?

1. Write a post on your blog about this blog and this contest.
2. Leave a comment below with the link to your post.
3. Read my blog! I recommend subscribing through RSS or getting my blog posts by email.

When is the deadline?

This contest has no start/finish date. You are allowed to join whenever you want, but the earlier you start the better your chances of being a weekly winner. If for whatever reason I choose to stop this contest in a few months, I will notify everyone at least 4 weeks prior to the closing.

Entry Guidelines

1. Your blog post should be at least 250 words.
2. Link to the main page of this blog as well as this contest.
3. You may be a weekly winner a maximum of once per month, but there are no limit to how many times you can win.

How do sponsored prizes work?
Every week I will provide an option for sponsors to donate prizes. These will be in addition to the $25 payments.

When are the winners chosen?
The first winner will be chosen Monday, January 28th. I will try to choose each winner every Sunday after that, but I reserve the right to choose one early if I need to. If for any reason I miss a week, the following winner will receive $50 instead of the $25.

Summary:
By writing a one time post on your blog, you will have a chance to win $25 as well as additional prizes every single week of the year. You will have a permanent raffle ticket so to say. All winners will get a little bit of free promotion as well.
