Miscellaneous Link Building

Posted in General> Link Building> SEO

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or get your blog updates by email. Thanks for visiting!

Here is a few link building posts to increase your rank in the search engines. Unlike what most bloggers do, I am not going to rehash the content as my own in hopes of increasing my readership, but rather just send you to the actual sources.

CSS Gallery List
While promoting my blog, I found a CSS directory that showcased nice looking CSS templates on their site. I submitted my blog, it got approved, and sent over 75 visitors along with three PR4 links. Upon seeing this success, I started collecting lists of these sites so I could make a post with all of them so that all of my readers could do mass-submission for a ton of very powerful links. When I started searching Google for more sites, I found a site that was already doing what I was going to do, so enjoy your 30+ high traffic/pr links by submitting your (nice looking CSS designed) site to the CSS Gallery List.

Link Building with Drupal

As most of you know, I love finding innovative places that my readers can build links, and today is no exception. Drupal is a massively popular open source framework for websites. The homepage for it is located at drupal.org, and that is the target for todays link building campaign. Drupal is a community focused system, so their site allows users to register and fill out a profile. Inside your profile you are allowed to link to your homepage (I would assume it is supposed to be for your site that is using Drupal). However, no verification is done so you may put your own blog inside. You will get your own user page and a link to your blog will be dofollow (good for search engines), but it does not stop there.

Link Building with Flickr

A lot of my readers have been giving me excellent feedback stating that they love my link building strategies that I give away in the link building cookbook. Link building is important because nearly every blog wants additional search engine traffic, and building links is the best way to get it. I thought I would feed everyone’s link building appetite by releasing yet another tip that you won’t see anyone else telling you.

Introduction to Flickr

Flickr is a free image hosting site that is now owned by Yahoo. It stores thousands of images and serves millions of visitors every month. Flickr allows users to make comments on the pictures that are uploaded by other users.

The Link Building Cookbook

Welcome to the Link Building Cookbook.

What is Link Building?

Link building is the process of getting websites to link to your homepage, or one of your website’s internal pages. An example link would be me telling you that this blog is written by Collin LaHay. The link to my blog’s homepage with the text “collin lahay” tells Google that this site is about Collin LaHay, and that this blog deserves to rank for a Google search of “collin lahay.” The more websites that you can get to link to yours, the higher you will rank in the search engine for that term, and the higher your Google Pagerank will be. Not only will you increase your websites rank for the term that the other sites link to yours with, but you will rank for a lot of other keywords once your pagerank increases.
